Samantha approaches her work with full dedication and curiosity, always striving to do her best for both patients and teammates. Being part of a supportive, communicative team has shown her that she’s capable of doing hard things and inspired her to keep growing—inside and outside of work. She thrives in an environment where questions are welcomed, help is freely given, and everyone works together so patients receive the best care possible.

Helping patients feel seen, safe, and understood is one of Samantha’s top priorities. She takes time to truly listen, validate concerns, and guide patients through education so they can understand their options and make informed decisions with confidence and peace of mind. For Samantha, care isn’t rushed—it’s thoughtful, patient, and personal.

Serving the Homer community means taking care of neighbors. Many patients are familiar faces seen around town, which makes the work feel especially meaningful. She loves the sense of connection that comes with small-town life and finds simple joy in quiet winter walks on the Spit with her dog, Bramble, visiting local businesses, and greeting people who are loving their glasses. Her advice to visitors? Slow down, take it all in, and let Homer be experienced at an easy pace.

Having grown up in Ecuador and spent seven years living in France, Samantha brings a global perspective to her work. Traveling internationally with the Homer Eyecare team has deepened her gratitude, broadened her worldview, and strengthened her ability to connect with people from all walks of life—reminding her that care, respect, and understanding transcend borders.
