Quietly hilarious and deeply thoughtful, Linnaea brings a calm, steady presence to Homer Eyecare. When asked to describe herself in three words, she playfully offered seven—honest, patient, thoughtful, artistic, adventurous, amiable, and easy-going—which feels just about right. As our Lead Technician and most senior team member, she has a remarkable ability to make even complex information clear, approachable, and easy to understand.

Linnaea is deeply committed to growth and collaboration. Her time at Homer Eyecare has helped her build confidence both professionally and personally, and she values being part of a team rooted in genuine connection, fresh ideas, and mutual support. Being herself—and seeing others clearly—guides her work, as she connects with patients through warmth, humor, and thoughtful communication, helping them feel informed, respected, and genuinely cared for.

Serving the Homer community means using her professional skills to make a meaningful difference while contributing to both the present and future of the town she loves. She treasures Homer’s strong sense of connection, its outdoor beauty, and the way people care for one another. Her favorite simple joy is walking the Homer beaches and docks, breathing in salt air and enjoying the scent of coastal wildflowers. Her advice to visitors? If you get a clear day or evening, don’t waste it indoors.

Traveling internationally with the Homer Eyecare team has shaped Linnaea’s perspective, reminding her how universal our core needs are—and how connection grows through curiosity and respect.

Outside of work, Linnaea is happiest caring for animals—especially her ducks, chickens, and German Shepherd. If she ever changed careers, she’d be a veterinarian without question. After nearly a decade at Homer Eyecare, her calm expertise and quiet humor remain an essential part of the clinic.
